Day 9: Fourth on the beach

We enjoyed the San Luis Obispo Mission this morning. Built in 1772, it is the 5th Mission of twenty-one Missions in California

We arrived in Santa Barbara in time for lunch. Our hotel is right across from the marina, and somehow this morning we were able to score a hotel room on the harbor side with a great view of the fireworks area. Great viewing.
We wandered bit downtown, took a nap, people watched on the beach, enjoyed a snow cone (a first for some of us), outdoor dining on the patio for dinner and a great Fourth of July fireworks display! A very fun day!

Well it's fitting that Adam should be at the mission isn't it. It looks like you're having a marvelous time and thanks for letting Adam join you in spirit. He loves it!!
